I am fortunate to trust my intuition and sign up for Biomimetic Dentistry online course by Dr.Mathew Nejad. As rightly pointed out by Dr.Nejad, the future of restorative dentistry is in the direction set by Biomimetic dentistry. This online course clearly explains the foundation principles of biomimetic dentistry that is mimic nature, conserve tooth structure, preserve tooth vitality, restore structural integrity and function of teeth. The natural structural components of a tooth -Enamel, Dentin , DEJ are explained in detail based on histoanatomy, structural design , how all these structures interact to transmit the occlusal forces down the tooth under function and maintain the structural integrity of the normal tooth. Next in this course, is about the materials to be used to replace the corresponding missing anatomic tooth structure, the use of correct techniques and biomimetic protocols for a given specific cavity configuration like MOD cavity, Endodontic access cavity, severely compromised Endodontically treated teeth, class 2 cavity and even simple class 1 cavity. Maximising adhesion is the key concept in biomimetic dentistry. Dr.Nejad delineates the principles of adhesion, how bonded restoration can restore the natural stiffness and integrity of the tooth.Further, many protocols are discussed to maximise bond to tooth structure and how to avoid patients symptoms like post op sensitivity, micro leakage, secondary caries. Then comes the most important part - Isolation and cementation protocols for Indirect biomimetic restorations. This lecture brings in more clarity as to which cement to be used for a given indirect restoration. I took Dr. Nejad's Level I and Level II biomimetic dentistry courses and I can honestly say they were the best CE courses I have ever taken. I had been practicing a version of biomimetic dentistry based on some disconnected lectures at conferences but his courses gave a comprehensive approach that changed my practice for the better. If you are interested in implementing biomimetic dentistry in your practice, this is the place to be. I'd give more stars if I could.

Top-Notch continuing education center. I had the privilege to learn from Dr. Nejad in 2018 about this wonderful philosophy which is the Biomimetic dentistry, to be honest it changed the way I do everyday dentistry and most important for me it has tons of scientific evidence compared to what most of dentist were taught in dental school which is the traditional dentistry. I recommend the complete training package (level 1&2) for a better comprehensive process.

This course will turn you into a bond-odontist! Dr. Nejad’s lectures are packed with clinical instructional videos about advanced modern adhesive procedures. The information I learned inspired me to become more conservative in my preparation designs and more confident in my restorations. Had a great weekend Virtual Course with Matt. I believe it was there first time doing it and the experience was as "in person" as you could get, with lecture, live Q&A, and hands on demonstration. Matts Utilization of the Green Screen for slides was vastly superior to other zoom meetings with the lecturer sharing their screen.

The training by Nejad Institute is wonderful. It is a nice place to learn biomimetic dentistry. The training gives great clarity about the workflow and lot of clinically useful tips backed with scientific knowledge.
